About the Commission:


Arizona Flag Mission:  The Independent Redistricting Commission's mission is to administer the fair and balanced redistricting of the Congressional and Legislative districts for the State of Arizona.

The Commission consists of five members: two Democrats, two Republicans, and one Independent. The Commissioners are: Daniel Elder (REP), Joshua Hall (DEM), James Huntwork (REP), Steven W. Lynn, Chairman (IND), and Andi Minkoff, Vice Chairman (DEM).

 UPDATES

7-10-09 : The Commission closed their office. A new Commission will be formed in early 2011 for the next redistricting cycle. This site will remain online courtesy of the Arizona Legislative Council

6-30-09 : The Commission held their final meeting Tuesday, June 30, 2009.  

10-18-05 : The Arizona Court of Appeals issued a decision in favor of the IRC's Precleared 2002 Legislative Map.
